Beyoncé, che compariva in nove candidature, batte tutti i record diventando l’artista con il maggior numero di statuette vinte, ben trentadue, una in più del direttore d’orchestra Georg Solti. Con tre vittorie ancora prima che cominciasse la serata di gala e altre due durante la diretta la popstar si è aggiudicata il premio per la migliore canzone R&B per Cuff It e per la coreografia, portando il totale della sua carriera a trentadue grammafoni d’oro, il traguardo è arrivato dopo 88 nomination. È di Harry Styles però il miglior disco dell’anno (Harry’s House), Kendrick Lamar ha trionfato nelle categorie Miglior disco rap con Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers, Miglior canzone con The Heart Part 5 e Miglior performance rap, mentre miglior album rock è Patient Number 9 di Ozzy Osbourne.
